Has anyone else heard about the rift between MM and Peter?

This is a legitimate question. I don't know much about it and would like to know more. Please forgive my ignorance on this subject. Supposedly, Mary Magdalene and Peter could not come to agreement on how to proceed with the teachings of Jesus after he died. Mary wanted to continue with Jesus' way of doing it, but Peter wanted to take a "safer" approach. If anyone out there has more on this, could you please enlighten me?
